Architecture not only manifests itself in the form of buildings but also as interventions born of their context. Our inextricable
connection to nature has always prompted architects to
intervene in the landscape as a way of marking, preserving or
enhancing our surroundings and our relationship to them. This
volume showcases a selection of contemporary structures
inspired by the experiences derived from our interaction with
the landscape—looking, walking and bathing—as proof of how
architecture can both respectfully and elegantly strengthen our
bond with nature.
