In 1998 the writer Miguel Anxo Murado was sent to Palestine by the United Nations. He would remain there for five years, during which he lived all sorts of dramatic and comical situations: from representing Palestine at an international tourism fair to witnessing attacks and bombings or being the official spokesman during the Pope's visit. “Fin de século en Palestina” is the autobiographical account of that personal experience in peace and war; a true, tender, partly tragic and sometimes even humorous story of life in a country full of color and violence.
