Esteban Mira Caballos. Visiting professor at the University of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is also member of European and Latin American historians associations: Asociación de Historiadores Latinoamericanos de Europa, Asociación de Americanistas Españoles, Conference on Latin American History in the USA. And he is a member of the Dominican Academy of History.
He has been awarded the Fundación Xavier de Salas Prize in 2004 and 2008 for his work on Hernando de Soto and the José María Pérez de Herrasti y Narváez Prize for his work on Queen Isabel the Catholic in commemoration of her V century death anniversary.
