幼い子どもにとって、福音書を理解するのは難しい場合がある。そこに出てくる用語や場面、登場人物は、大人の世界やイエス・キリスト特有の文脈になじむよう想定されているからだ。数年前からRezandovoy（レサンドボイ、「祈りながら私は行く」の意）のグループは毎週日曜日、主日の福音書を子ども向けにアレンジしたミサを行っている。本書にはマルコによる福音書の文章を集成。イラストのおかげで読者がその場面を楽しみ、大人も童心に返って真理を直観することができる。
