Carlos Pedrós-Alió holds a PhD in Biology Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (United States) and is a research professor at the National Center for Biotechnology (CNB) of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC).

カルロス・ムルシアーノは、1931年アルコス・デラフロンテーラ生まれ。詩人、作家として知られるほか、音楽学者、文学・美術評論家としても活躍してきた。児童文学では20冊以上の著作があり、中でも一番有名なのが、1980年に国民児童文学賞最終候補となった本書である。Este claro silencio（この明るい静けさ）で1970年国民詩歌賞、El mar sigue esperando（海は待ちつづける）で国民児童文学賞など、多数の文学賞を受賞。
