Der Verlag wurde 1989 gegründet. In den ersten Jahren veröffentlichte er Schul- und Lehrbücher, seit 1999 hat er sein Angebot nach und nach ausgeweitet: Essayistik, Philosophie, Geschichte, spanischsprachige und Weltliteratur, Kommunikation, Kinderliteratur etc.

Ediciones del Laberinto S. L. was founded in 1989 to focus on educational publishing. In 2011 it relaunched its catalogue to specialise in books for children and young adults with books for early readers, children's picture books, etc.
