50年以上前にレオンで出版を始めた。当初より、児童書、食、マニュアルなどの分野で実用的な大衆向け書籍の提供に尽力してきた。これに加え数年前から、ヤングアダルト小説の分野でも主要な出版社のひとつとなってきた。
