Inácio Vilariño studierte Kunst an der Universität in Vigo. Seit 2006 ist er Mitglied am Instituto de Estudos de Literatura Tradicional der Universidad Nova de Lisboa (IELT), wo er das Projekt ''Grandepequeno'' mit der Ausstellung Grandepequeno betreut: Elend, Hühner und Starrköpfe.
