1980年代末に地中海沿岸の町で生まれた。小さい頃から、家の中の小さな物に目をとめ、自分が身長数センチしかなかったらどんなふうだろうと想像してきたが、形は変えられないので、お話を書くことにした。現在、１匹のハリネズミと２匹の亀、自分はネコだと思っている１匹の犬と共に山の中の一軒家で暮らし、読書をしたり執筆したりジュースを飲んだりして、大半の時間を過ごしている。これは秘密でも何でもないけど、「追跡隊」だけには見せたくない。本書は初めて出版した小説。

Mara Blefusco wurde Ende der Achtzigerjahre in einer Stadt am Mittelmeer geboren. Schon als kleines Kind betrachtete sie ganz genau die kleinen Dinge im Haus und stellte sich vor, wie ihr Leben aussehen würde, wenn sie nur wenige Zentimeter groß wäre.

Mara Blefusco was born at the end of the eighties in a Mediterranean city. As a little girl she was fascinated by the smallest things in her home, imagining what life would be like if she were only a few centimetres tall.
