マリソル・サレス＝ヒメネスは、2000年8月18日にバレンシアで生まれた。現在アルファファル（バレンシア）に住むが、自分ではアンテリャとスマカルセルにも住んでいると思っている。高校1年のときに本書を出版。小学6年生ではじめて文学賞を受賞。11歳のとき、母親からプレゼントされた本がきっかけで読書に夢中になり、その時からアイデアが次々とわき出して書かずにいられず、それが『天使のクロニカ』となった。『赤い夜』はその第1巻。現在、学校で読書や創作の動機づけのためのトークをしている。　

Marisol Sales Giménez, geboren am 18.08.2000 in Valencia. Sie lebt in Alfafar (Valencia), fühlt sich aber den nahegelegenen Orten Antella und Sumacàrcer gleichermaßen verbunden. Im Jahr der Veröffentlichung dieses Buches befand sie sich im vorletzten Schuljahr des Gymnasiums.
