“Martín ist mein bester Freund. Aber er ist nicht wie die anderen. Das sagen zumindest die anderen. Er isst gerne Erdbeeren, aber durch die Nase. Er trägt gerne Hemden, aber zugeknöpft bis oben hin.

“Martin is my best friend. But he’s not like the others. Or at least that’s what the others say. He likes eating strawberries through his nose. He loves wearing shirts with all the buttons done up.

"Martin est mon meilleur ami. Mais il n'est pas comme les autres. Ou c'est ce que disent les autres. Il aime manger des fraises, mais par le nez. Il adore porter des chemises, mais avec tous les boutons bien boutonnés.

「マルティンは僕の親友。でも変わってるってみんなが言うんだ。イチゴが大好きだけど鼻から食べるし、シャツを好んで着るけどボタンは全部しっかり留めるし、庭で虫を捕まえてはポケットに入れちゃう。コロッケは毎回必ずきっかり9個ずつ食べるんだ」。　 2015年10月21日に教育省の後援でスペイン児童図書評議会 (OEPLI)が公募したラサリーリョ賞絵本部門の受賞作が決定した。応募のあった51作品の中から選出されたのは本作品マルティン。
