ナネン・ガルシア=コントレーラスはグアディクス（グラナダ県）に生まれ、木に登ったり猫を追いかけたりしていないときは、絵を描いたり物語を作ったりしていた。グラナダで絵画を専攻して芸術学の学位を取得し、セビーリャではデザインと版画を専攻。その後、様々なグラフィックアーティストとの出会いや、著名なイラストレーターとのワークショップを通じて、画とともに物語を語ることへ再び情熱を傾けるようになる。現在、この情熱を中学校で造形美術を教えることと、陶芸、アニメーション、彫刻、版画などと両立。創造することは生きていくのに不可欠で、創造しなければ死んでしまうと考えている。

Nanen García-Contreras wurde in Guadix (Granada) geboren und wenn sie nicht gerade auf Bäume kletterte oder Katzen nachlief, zeichnete sie und erfand Geschichten.

Nanen García-Contreras was born in Guadix (Granada) and when she was not climbing trees or chasing cats she would draw and write stories. She grew up and got a degree in Fine Arts in Grandada, specialising in painting, and then went to Seville to take a course in Design and Printing.
