SYNOPSIS

Albert Llimós recounts the story of an authentic, anonymous heroine of the 20th century, who survives and lives with the nobility and misery of the human condition. Teresa has grown up without a mother, in an environment which forces her to discover the wickedness and violence of the human condition at too young an age. She becomes pregnant while still young, and decides to leave her native village to look for opportunity in Lleida. The outbreak of the civil war, which wreaks devastation on her and the city equally, obliges her to flee. She is greeted by a convulsive Barcelona, its war wounds still gaping, a city in the midst of transformation, with huge social distinctions and more than one surprise... Albert Llimós portrays an unforgettable character, an anonymous 20th century heroine, who manages to pick herself up after every fall, who struggles, who loves and is loved.
