Rubén Ochandiano was born in Madrid on the 3rd of October 1980. After studying acting, singing and contemporary dance with various teachers, he finished his training by studying acting with Juan Carlos Corazza. He has worked on various successful television series and has taken the lead in various plays with directors such as Miguel Narros and Calixto Bieito; but it is on the big screen that he has spent most of his acting career, working for some of the biggest directors in world cinema: Pedro Almodóvar, Steven Soderbergh, Alejandro González Iñarritu, Gabriele Salvatores, Montxo Armendariz, Icíar Bollain, etcetera. He has been nominated for prestigious awards such as the Goya Prize, the Prize for Best Male Role at the Cannes Festival and the Actors Union Prizes. He made his directing debut with the short film El
