Gaspar Moisés Gómez
Gaspar Moisés Gómez

Born in Serranillos, Ávila, in 1927, the poet has lived for years in León. He studied law in Salamanca, where as a student he began working on the magazines 'Intus' and 'Más', the second of which devoted its two central pages to a small anthology of his work.
After his degree he gave several lectures and recitals. He has worked on various magazines. In the 1950s and 60s he was part of the 'El Cobaya' group in Ávila, a magazine that published not only poetry but also criticism and essays. He was editor of the magazine 'Alcance' for several years and has won numerous poetry prizes, among them the Juan Ramón Jiménez prize in 1996.
