Sergio L. Palacios was born in Áviles (Asturias, Spain) in 1966, and hholds a permanent post in applied physics at the University of Oviedo. in 2004 he proposed the teaching of an innovative subject he called 'Physics in Science Fiction.' In his classes students learn the laws of physics while watching films. Halfway through 2006 he decided to put together the material he was using in his geeky university classes and began to publish short monograph-style pieces on a blog, also called physics in science-fiction (http://fisicacf.blogspot.com/). He has also published 'La guerra de dos mundos' [The War of Two Worlds] with Ediciones Robinbook.
