Pep Puig was born in Terrassa in 1969. His first novel, L'home que torna (The Man Who Returns, 2005) was critically acclaimed and won the Fnac Young Writers prize. He then published Les llàgrimes de la senyoreta Marta (Miss Marta's Tears, 2007), which was followed by a collection of short stories, L'amour de la meva vida de moment (The Love of My Present Life, 2005).
