Carles Sala i Vila
Carles Sala i Vila

Carles Sala i Vil. I was born in Girona on May 27, 1974. I’m a teacher, but for a while now I’ve also been spending my time making handicrafts and, above all, writing stories for little boys and girls. Some of the things I like the most are words, plants and avocado seeds, with which I like to make necklaces, earrings and key-rings. I started to write quite recently. In the spring of 2008 I published my first book, Sóc como Sóc (Barcanova), and soon after, the second one, Flairosa, la bruixa dels sabons (Barcanova). Before the year was up the third one came out, Buenas noches, Julia (La Galera), and in the autumn of 2009, the two most recent ones: En Jaumet busca escola (Barcanova) and El triomf d’en Polit Bonaveu (Cruïlla). I have also published a couple of stories in the magazine Cavall Fort. In terms of prizes, I was a finalist for the Carmesina Prize in 2007.
