Jorge Blaschke won the Spanish National Prize for Journalism in 1982. He has been a correspondent for El País, a director of radio programmes and a screenwriter and producer of TV documentaries. He has studied astronomy and palaeontology, and co-directed excavations and research trips in Algeria. He has taken part in research into altered states of consciousness at the Instituto de Psicología Transpersonal in Barcelona, and has applied some of his interest to the comparitive study of religions and millennial traditions. He has written over fifty books, the most notable of which include: Enciclopedia de las creencias y religiones, Más allá de lo que tú sabes, Somos energía and Más allá del Ahora.
