SYNOPSIS

From a wheelchair in her old house in Estambul, Kawa´s mother remembres the beauty and the legends of Ararat Mount. Her husband and two of his sons are buried there, they were Kurd fighters. Kawa is a contract killer, it is the only job he has found to support her elderly and disable mother. If it wasn’t for her, he would have immigrated to Germany with his remaining siblings: Xezal, the only daughter and Barán, the oldest, both trying to survive in a xenophobic society. However, something happens during his last job that startles him. From that moment, his world starts to crumble.

As usual, Jon Arretxe takes us to meet other cultures, other towns. In this case, through a black novel, he reveals the human side of two big cities with a close relationship in spite of their differences: Istanbul and Munich. It is a story of longing for your stolen homeland, a fight for survival, a journey from dignity to ignominy.
