A peaceful, happy life can be suddenly cut short by the realisation of the existence of a great emptiness, a hole in the chest that immediately projects us into a way of life we don't know how to deal with. This is what happens to the protagonist of this story, a happy girl who, after suffering an unexpected loss, discovers the great hole inside her. This fills her with sadness and grief, and leads her to search for ways of filling the hole and going back to who she was. The angst she feels on finding that nothing can eliminate the hole for ever causes deep unhappiness, but this helps her to a new understanding: the solution to filling the emptiness is inside herself. Taking this discovery on board with joy not only helps to girl to accept herself better, but also to move closer to others.
