Guille is an apparently happy child, always smiling, but you only have to scratch beneath the surface to feel that there's a mystery somewhere. Guille is an introverted child with a permanent smile, and he's a great reader with a lot of imagination. He only has one friend, a girl. So far, so good. But behind that tranquil mask is hidden a fragile world, like a house of cards, with a mystery to be solved. The puzzle is made up of a father undergoing a crisis, an absent mother, a meddlesome teacher and aa psychologist who tries to put together the pieces of the underlying puzzle. An ensemble novel exuding, emotion, tenderness, emptiness, unspoken words and a horrifying mystery.
