Strawberry is a teenager who is different from the rest, she hasn't got many friends and feels excluded, precisely because she is a strawberry; and she really hates having a strawberry head, just like her mother's.
This comic book starts when Strawberry is admitted to hospital: she is in a coma and suffering from a strange type of amnesia. The story then takes off on two levels: the reality of the hospital room where Mother Strawberry watches over her daughter, and Strawberry's chaotic inner world, where real memories are mixed with fantasy.Through Strawberry's coma, we understand her adolescent uncertainties, the search for identity, sex, her conflictive but close relationship with her mother.Clara-Tanit uses a great number of graphic and emotional registers. Sweet, funny, cruel and desperate scenes; plentiful illustrations with Surrealist tone, experimentation graphic games.
