At the Episcopal palace, his destiny was sealed, despite the fact that the young Enrique, second son of Rascón y Cornejo, was a long way from imagining so. Though of noble family, in the 14th century he was nothing more than a second son with no title, and so being commissioned by the archbishop with a secret mission was to open the way to social acknowledgement. Apparently, all he had to do was investigate the mysterious disappearances that were occurring in Toledo, the town of the forbidden knowledge, where Jews, Arabs and Christians lived side-by-side.
There, he was also to meet the enigmatic Veridiana, for whom he was immediately to feel attraction beyond reason and which was to prove the key to understanding where the disappeared had ended up and solve the enigma. However, Enrique does not know the extent to which all of his beliefs are to be torn to shreds as he lives out… an out-of-this-world adventure!
