SYNOPSIS

A nun disappears, leaving an enigmatic message and an assistant to Pope Francis contracts two Intelligence agents to move heaven and earth until they find her. Meanwhile, a political operative fired by the Casa Rosada (the home and executive office of the Argentine President) is hired by the governor of a region in Patagonia to improve his image and avoid electoral disaster. With the help of Remil, an agent provocateur working from the shadows - she uses everything at her disposal: political espionage, paying off and threatening judges, bribing union leaders and manipulating history. Together, then, they uncover a state crime and a sinister organisation. The Wound is a political thriller within a great crime novel into which are woven four mysterious love stories, starting in the Vatican, leading to Patagonia, a suspenseful, compulsive read and a portrait of the dark side of real power.
