SYNOPSIS

Arturo Balz falls in love with the oldest daughter of an Englishman named Thomas Doghram, an unsociable man that keeps his family mysteriously shut away. Arturo is determined to confront Doghram and declare his love to his daughter Rosie. However, he must first make a clean break with his past, which entails driving to Valizas, on the coast of Uruguay, to put an end to a turbulent romance he had as a young man in the tumultuous times preceding the Argentinian military coup.
Before arriving in Valizas, Arturo stops at a motel and picks up a teenager named Camboya who seems to have run away from home and is heading the same way. It is not long before they discover their shared past and Arturo Balz’s painful memories are intensified by a surprising revelation from Camboya, a revelation that will change absolutely everything.
