The Battle of Hastings (1066): One of the most important battles in British history as the victory of Duke William of Normandy had a great impact on the political development, society and culture of the country. The photographs which illustrate this book were taken during the historical re-enactment of the battle in October 2000 in an area now known as Battle, in the south of England, where the armed confrontation took place.
