It is 1936, a time of political and artistic agitation. Fascism is gaining strength in Europe. In Spain, the civil war is about to break out. Jonás leaves Madrid and travels to Cadaqués (Girona) in search of calm, but an atmosphere of mystery engulfs the small fishing village. Its inhabitants are terrorised by the painter who lives on Port Lligat beach. Salvador Deseo, the Catalan surrealist painter, is at the height of his creativity and genius. He needs the land of Cap de Creus to paint. And as Jonás will discover during the time he spends in his house, he also needs its people to give form to his nightmares…
