It was the day of comings and goings. Everybody was coming or going from one place or another. For thousands of years humans were nomads, following the rhythms of the Earth, the journey of the sun and the dance of time. People learned to recognise the herbs and the smell of the coming rain. They travelled to all the corners of the Earth, sailed its rivers and slept on its hills. But now, they have their houses, and they hardly move at all for most of the year. They barely look at the sky, and many of them are far far away from the stars and the sea. They say that they agreed to this and that never more would they be w a n d e r e r s. but at the bottom of their hearts, deep within, they know that change is always near, and although something seems still it is only really quiet for a moment…
