Alessa doesn't believe love exists. What she doesn't know is that, most of the time, love appears when we don't believe in it. Alessa's mother thinks she tried to kill herself. For this reason, she makes her pass the summer at Camden Hall, an exclusive rehab centre, so that she can receive treatment and recover. At first, Alessa's impulsive and rebellious personality causes her to struggle against her new reality. Then she crosses paths with the enigmatic Jake Harris, a young man who never goes anywhere without his old guitar and whom everybody seems to know. She will strike up a truly special relationship with him among old records and songs by Johnny Cash, David Bowie and Elliott Smith. They both know the sadness of nights spent alone. But one day they will start to share sunrises, and their sadness will gradually fade away to give way to an intense connection.
