Victor Alexandre has written several books of essays, including "Jo no sóc espanyol" ("I'm Not Spanish", 1999) and "Nosaltres els catalans" ("We Catalans", 2008), as well as plays, stories and novels. His fiction includes "El somriure de Burt Lancaster" ("Burt Lancaster's Smile"), a book of stories treasured by many readers, on the importance of chance in people's lives, and "Set dones i un home sol" ("Seven Women and Only One Man", Mercè Rodoreda award), which shows the moral and cultural landscape of a country through the minds of seven women of different generations freely living their sexuality.
