Silvia Vilacoba y Canal (Olot, 1966) has a degree in law. Her passion for writing and romantic novels is well established, having first begun when she was a teenager. She has written 'Éric, la fuerza de amar' ('Èric, The Power of Love') (1998) and'Èric, dins el cor' ('Èric, In My Heart') (2011) which recount intense and personal experiences from her relationship with her disabled son. 'Ven conmigo' ('Come With Me') (2014) and 'Siempre Juntos' ('Always Together') (2014) are contemporary erotic romantic novels. In 2018 she published 'La vida puede ser rosa' ('Life Can Be Rosy') followed by 'El aroma de la felicidad' ('The Scent of Happiness') in 2019 and 'Regreso al paraíso' ('Return to Paradise') in 2020, a trilogy set in Port de la Selva on the Costa Brava and published by Editorial Oliveras. She is one of the few authors who write in Catalan about the women and men of today: strong, professional and independent, like her target audience.
