Sani Ladan is a social educator and intercultural mediator specialising in international migration. She has spent around ten years raising awareness of and working closely with the reality of migration on Spain’s southern borders. This is a phenomenon of which she has personal experience, having gone through a similar migratory process after leaving Cameroon, where she was born, to travel to Spain. She is president of the Elín association in Ceuta, where she oversees training on migration each summer. She is pan-Africanist, anti-racist and a human rights activist and creates social media content on global issues and international geopolitics. She is particularly keen to raise public awareness of African history and key figures from the continent. Her goal is to change the narrative around the African continent.
