Ricardo Díaz Peris was born in Valencia in 1993, and studied fine arts at the Polytechnic University of Valenica. His illustrations have been rejected by top publications such as Vice, Vogue and Paper Magazine. He received a grant to continue his studies in Baltimore and take part in diverse exhibitions and artistic projects. He wrote Ethics for Julia (Fulgencio Pimentel, 2019), for which he won the Special Judges' Prize of the 2018 Puchi Awards. At the funeral of his second aunt he revealed that he had had sexual relations with a distant cousin. His writing was first inspired by anxiety, wine, Greta Thungberg, and the election of Donald Trump.
