Pilar Sánchez Vicente is a documentary maker and writer. With a degree in Geography and History, she works as head of the Publications, Administrative Archives and Documentation Service of the Government of the Principality of Asturias. She is president of the Association of Professional Information Specialists (APEI). She was formerly a scriptwriter and presenter for several programmes on TVE-Asturias and TVE's international channel. Her works include: Breve Historia de Asturias [A Brief History of Asturias] (Ayalga, 1986; VTP 2006), Comadres (KRK, 2001) and Gontrodo la hija de la luna [Gontrodo the Daughter of the Moon] (KRK, 2005).
