Pilar Adón

Pilar Adón was born in Madrid in 1971. Narrator, poet and translator, her novel “Las Hijas de Sara” (Alianza, 2003) was considered by critics to be one of the best ten novels of the year. Her book of short stories “Viajes Inocentes” (Páginas de Espuma, 2005) made her the worthy winner of the prestigious Premio Ojo Crítico de Narrativa award. She has been included in various short story collections in her capacity as storyteller, and she forms part of the select roll of “Siglo XXI: Los nuevos Nombres del Cuento Español Actual” (Menoscuarto). She has published stories and poems in various magazines and literary supplements, notable amongst which are Babelia, EOe, ABCD, Público o Turia. She has translated books by Henry James and Christina Rossetti, as well as “Sanctuary” and “Fighting France: From Dunkerque to Belport” by Edith Wharton for the publishing house Impedimenta.
