Pablo Ramos (Avellaneda, Buenos Aires, 1966) is the author of the three novels "El Origen de la Tristeza" (2004), "La Ley de la Ferocidad" (Alfaguara, 2007) and "En Cinco Minutos Levantate Maria" (2010), a trilogy in which each novel can be read independently. His two collections of short stories are “Cuando lo peor haya pasado" (2005) and "El Camino de la Luna" (2012), and his most recent, Hasta Que puedas quererte solo (2016), is on the subject of addiction. He was awarded first prize by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes in 2003, and in a competition organised by Casa de las Americas de Cuba in 2004. His work has been translated into French, German, Portuguese and Russian. He lives in Buenos Aires, where he writes scripts, plays in a band and gives creative writing workshops.
