Montserrat Rico

Montserrat Rico was born in Barcelona, in 1964. She has had a vast activity as a lecturer and is well-known for her ability to talk to the public with historic rigour while entertaining at the same time. As a poet she has made her own recitals and her poems have been recited by other poets. In 2006 she won the XXXIII Juegos Florales del Campo de Cartagena. She has directed and collaborated in several radio programmes. She is the author of Cartas a Lucrecia (Plaza&Janés, 2000), Bajo un Cielo Púrpura (Edaf, 2004) and La Abadía Profanada (Planeta in Spanish and Columna in Catalan, 2007), each of them acclaimed by the critics.
