Mónica Peñalver was born in Asturias. She is thirty four years old. She has a Diploma in Labour Relations and works as an executive secretary at an advertising agency. Her great passions, however, are reading and writing. For years, she has been an avid reader of romantic novels and in 2007 she published her first book La dama y el dragón, using the pseudonym Carolina Bennet. Since then she has published El corazón de la doncella and Adorable canalla. La espada y la llama is her first novel published by Esencia.
