José Antonio Miquel Silvestre (Denia, 1968) has a degree in law and has earned a living registering property, but also impossible realities and probable fictions. Despite being an outsider by vocation, from any literary circle or ideological school, he has published the novels Mariposas en el cuarto oscuro (Butterflies in the Darkroom, Ediciones Barataria 2003), La dama ciega (The Blind Lady, Ediciones Barataria 2004) and Spanya SA (Ediciones Barataria 2008) and the story collection Dinamo estrellada (Smashed Dynamo, Ediciones Barataria 2004). He writes regularly for La Nueva España de Gijón and the Mexican website www.palabrasmalditas.net, He complements his freelance literary work with a job as editor of the magazine of the College of Registrars and writes specialist articles on legal security.
