Minerva Piquero (August, Mexico, 1967) studied journalism at Ari¬zona State University, and became an on-screen name in the nineties after 20 years of presenting, directing, writing and producing television programmes. In 2002 she set up a corporate communications agency, and since 2012 she has been the director of communications and public relations at a multinational media agency. She lives in Madrid with her two children. Born Free is her first novel.
