MIGUEL ANGEL MENDO

He has a degree in psychology and has been a qualified psychotherapist since 1981, always working closely with the world of alternative education. He has been a film and visual art professor, a contributor to the children's magazine 'El Acordeón', editor of the RTVE program 'La Semana: Informativo Infantil y Juvenil' ('The Week: A News Bulletin for Children and Teenagers') and 'Cajón Desastre' ('Disaster Drawer'), photographer and journalist for 'Equipo Yeti' ('Team Yeti') and a regular contributor to El País Imaginario, El País newspaper's Sunday supplement, and scriptwriter for several radio programs and various television series. In adition to literature, he has written several plays ('Los mapas del aire' ('Maps of the Air') 'Puesta de largo' ('Debut'), 'La cueva de los espejos' ('The Cave of Mirrors')... With more than thirty books to his name, he has been awarded the Premio Lazarillo twice (in the children's literature category in 1989 for 'Por un maldito anuncio' ('A Cursed Warning') and in the YA category in 2007 for his novel 'Aeturnum'), he won the 1989 Premio Altea
