Manuel Moyano

Born in Cordoba in 1963, Manuel Moyano is considered by many critics to be one of the most important story-writers of his generation. Over time he has become known for a precise and elegant narrative that flirts with fantasy but resists the straitjacket of genre. He has won various prizes both with his novels and his story collections, such as the Tigre Juan award for El amigo de Kafka (Kafka's Friend) (2001) the Tristana for La coartada del diablo (The Devil's Alibi), the Celsius at the Semana Negra de Gijón for El imperio de Yegorov (Yegorov's Empire) (2014) - which was also a finalist for the Premio Herralde - and the Carolina Coronado, with The Saint-Germain Hypothesis.
