Luis Miguel Ariza is a biologist, journalist and novelist. He has been head of the science section of the newspaper La Razón, he has worked for the prestigious titles Scientific American and New Scientist, and in 2000 he was coordinator on the series 2.mil for Television Española. He has published three novels: La Sombra del Chamán (2002), Kraken, Atrapados en el Abismo (2005) and Proyecto Lázaro (2007). He currently writes articles and informative reports on science, medicine and history for El País Semanal and Muy Interesante.
