Julián Delgado Aguado

A Spanish colonel who served in the Spanish Foreign Legion in the Sahara (1957-65). He entered the Armed Police in 1966 and in 1975 was let go when his links with the Unión Militar Democrática (of which he was a founding member) were discovered. When democracy was restored he returned and marched to Euskadi to volunteer (1978-79). Later on he was chief of the Urban Guard in Barcelona (1982-97). He is the author of "Morir en Paracuellos. Memoria íntima sin odio" (Sepha, 2008).
