Juan Carlos Rivas González was born in Cáceres and has a degree in Hispanic Literature from the University of Extremadura's faculty of Arts and Humanities. He lived in Roses, Girona for many years and currently lives in Coria, where he works as a Spanish language and literature teacher for the Government of Extremadura.
