Joana Raspall (1913-2013) is a writer and librarian, and well-known for her poetry for children. But she also writes theatre for children, narrative for children and young adults, and three Catalan dictionaries, and her actions to advocate Catalan language and culture won her the Sant Jordi Cross from the Generalitat de Cataluña in 2006. Ignasi Blanch studied fine arts, and works with publishers all over the world, as well as running workshops for schools and libraries and working with the Saarbrücken Children's Book Fair. He is coordinator of illustration studies at the School for Women in Barcelona. He has won numerous awards and has been selected three times for the Bratislava Biennial award.
