Jesús Gil Vilda was born in 1971 in Zaragoza, where he later graduated with a degree in chemistry. Since then he has worked in industry as a process engineer and marketing manager. He currently lives in Barcelona. He has been awarded prizes by the Montreal International Film Festival and the Catalan Academy of Cinema for his work as a screenwriter. 'Crisis de gran mal' is his first novel.
