Guillermo Roz

The author was born in Buenos Aires in 1973. He is a literature professor at the UNLP (Argentina). In 2013 he received a grant to attend the prestigious Villa Marguerite Yourcenar in France and published 'Les ruego que me odien' ('I Beg You To Hate Me') (Musa a las 9) which won the first Premio de Narrativa Francisco Ayala. In 2012 his novel 'Tendríamos que haber venido solos' ('We Should Have Come Alone') (Alianza) was selected as a FNAC Nuevo Talento. In 2009 he published 'Avestruces por la noche. Dos nouvelles' ('Ostriches By Night. Two Nouvelles') (Mirada Malva) and his story 'Los Grises' ('The Greys') was included in the anthology of Argentinian, Spanish and Mexican writers entitled 'Un nudo en la garganta. Quince cuentos canallas' ('A Knot in Your Throat. Fifteen Despicable Stories') (Trama). In 2007 he published the novel 'La vida me engañó' ('Life Tricked Me') (Mirada Malva). He has contributed articles on culture to media outlets in the USA, Latin America and Europe. He has lived in Madrid since 2002.
