Gracia Iglesias studied journalism at Madrid Complutense University, then completed her journalism training working in other media including the newspaper EL Mundo and Efe Agency, and as an intern at CSIC press cabinet in 2003. She was coordinator at the school of cultural journalism at the Superior Institute of Art (I|Art) and a founding member and director of the cultural space Oropéndola in Guadalajara. She currently works full time as a writer, performer and tutor. She has won literary recognition and several awards, her poems have been translated into English and her poetic and narrative writing have been published in some 30 anthologies and collections in Spain, the UK, Mexico and Japan.
